Job Summary: The Operations Planning and System Analyst is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and tracking all repair activities associated with the industrial rotating equipment, including vertical turbine pumps, multistage pumps, slit-case pumps, ANSI pumps, and other high energy pumping systems. This position serves as the central coordination point between customers, sales, engineering, procurement, vendors, and shop operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Ability to use precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Technical industrial experience
  • Mechanical Seal/Pump assemblyand/or product knowledge
  • Mechanical ability and light machining experience
  • Industrial process experience
  • Possesses knowledge of subject matter.
  • 4 – 6 years of relevant experience in pump repair, mechanical seals, or industrial maintenance.
  • Background in millwright work, rotating equipment, or industrial mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of repair for mechanical seal assembly, rotating equipment/pump systems.
  • Proven experience in field service or manufacturing environments.
  • Organization skills and attention to detail
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and analyze situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Computer and phone skills required
  • Able to write and administrate documents
  • Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

  • Consistent, regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Develop and maintain the master repair planning schedule for all shop and field service projects.
  • Prioritize work based on customer commitments, criticality, resource availability, and operational objectives.
  • Coordinate labor requirements across mechanical, machining, welding, balancing, coating, inspection, and field-service functions.
  • Clearly communicate shift expectations and create and manage critical path schedules.
  • Monitor schedule performance and adjust priorities to improve throughput.
  • Collaborates with management and shares responsibility for on-time delivery (DSL) and schedule adherence.
  • Monitor critical components and services to minimize schedule delays. Coordinate and expedite as necessary
  • Run planning meetings with clear direction and expectations to achieve schedule adherence goals.
  • Create and manage critical path schedules.
  • Set shift expectations to meet customer deadlines
  • Coordinate project milestones from equipment receipt through shipment and invoicing.
  • Work closely with Shop Leads, Machinists, Pump Mechanics, and Field Service personnel to optimize workflow.
  • Coordinate resource loading and labor utilization.
  • Monitor work-in-process (WIP) and identify schedule risks.
  • Facilitate daily production meetings and communicate priorities.
  • Communicate project status internally and externally.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and customer delivery requirements.
  • Perform post-job reviews to evaluate profitability and schedule performance.
  • Support ISO, quality, and safety compliance requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
