Operations Planner
About The Position
This opportunity will give the right individual the customer exposure and experience desired to accelerate their career. The Operations Planner will provide rate quotes for nonstandard transportation, i.e. expedite shipments. Perform order registration which may include special requirements, extra labor, forklifts, cranes, etc. Ensure on-time pickup and delivery, track and trace shipments. Apply applicable late reason codes in accordance to Service Failure tracking and reporting. Work with customer to resolve inventory discrepancies. Follow-up with regards to exception reporting and damage assessment, communicate to customer. Participate in process flow documentation and standard operating procedures and identify opportunities for improvement based on customer needs. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Customer service background in logistics with ability to handle problem resolution in timely manner.
- Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge with strong emphasis on Excel used for tracking and analysis.
- Must be able to manage inventory in an RF. Portal, and Manual system environment.
- Understand transportation modes and service levels.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Telecommunication site delivery coordination experiences a plus.
- This candidate will work in an office setting but will be expecting to travel to warehouse as needed.
