About The Position

The Operations Officer is a dynamic leadership role within the Administration Department, focused on operational excellence and community impact. This position is crucial for shaping the future of an expanding Tribal Government. The role involves overseeing operations and managing multiple departments, requiring a strategic thinker committed to driving growth and aligning organizational goals with core values. The Operations Officer will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational outcomes and making a meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Valid driver's license; must remain insurable or obtain an Alaska State driver's license within 90 days.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 or willingness to learn within 90 days.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to hold staff accountable and motivate teams.
  • Knowledge of finance, budgeting, grants management, and accreditation standards.
  • Familiarity with Alaska Native Tribal governance and values.
  • Service-oriented with a respectful approach to interactions with others.
  • Must complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening.
