About The Position

The Operations Manager is a member of the Store Management team and helps people on their path to better health by driving store execution and performance while building consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, this role maintains an engaged and productive store team through strong leadership, initiative, and leading by example. The Operations Manager supports the Store Manager in the total leadership and strategic operation of a CVS/pharmacy store, including store management and policy implementation, sales and inventory management, employee staffing, training and development, financial management, and customer service leadership. This position is not part of the CVS/pharmacy Retail Management Development Program, and Operations Managers are not eligible for direct promotion to Store Manager.

Requirements

Deductive reasoning ability, advanced analytical skills, and computer skills.
Advanced communication, leadership, supervision, and influencing skills.
Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent issues at the store.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a retail manager or supervisor.

Responsibilities

Lead others and work effectively with store crews.
Supervise, assign, and direct activities of the store’s crew.
Communicate information to store crew and supervisors openly and in a timely manner.
Support the Store Manager with action plans for operational and service improvement.
Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
Support overall store management, supervision, and policy implementation.
Support sales and inventory management, employee staffing, training and development, and financial management.
