About The Position

Reporting to the Associate Director of Client-Funded Programs & Services, the Operations Manager oversees the operational, financial, and service delivery performance of a portfolio of autism programs. This role ensures efficient, high-quality, and compliant service delivery aligned with organizational priorities and funding requirements (e.g., Ontario Autism Program). As a key member of the management team, the Operations Manager drives business planning, budget oversight, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement while leading a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commerce, Human Resources, Health Administration, or a related field (master’s degree or MBA considered an asset).
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in supervision/program management.
  • Experience within autism services, developmental services, healthcare, or human services is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and/or publicly funded service environments is an asset.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Additional education in management or administration of human services, an asset.

  • Experience within a unionized environment and the private sector, an asset
  • Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (FA/CPR), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS), an asset
  • French Language proficiency, written and verbal, an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of autism programs to ensure efficient, consistent service delivery.
  • Translate strategic priorities into operational plans, goals, and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee intake, scheduling, and service capacity to maximize access.
  • Monitor program performance and implement improvements based on data and KPIs.
  • Develop and manage program budgets aligned with funding and organizational goals.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to support decision-making and sustainability.
  • Optimize staffing, resources, and service demand within funding constraints.
  • Ensure services meet regulatory, professional, and evidence-based standards.
  • Partner with clinical leaders to maintain service quality and outcomes.
  • Oversee documentation, reporting, and compliance with Ministry and organizational requirements.
  • Support program evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and performance management.
  • Foster employee engagement, retention, and a culture of inclusion and learning.
  • Manage employee relations in alignment with HR policies and collective agreements.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and organizational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to support integrated services.
  • Represent the organization in committees, partnerships, and community initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and health & safety standards.
  • Support risk management, accreditation, and performance measurement processes.
  • Build partnerships that strengthen service delivery and community impact.
  • Travel to various program and partner locations as required.
