About The Position

Wedgewood Weddings is looking to hire an Operations Manager to manage ordering, scheduling, and servicing weddings, receptions, social and corporate events. The Operations Manager is responsible for all event and behind-the-scenes operations, partnering with the General Manager to manage ordering, inventory, hiring and training, and event staff to execute flawless weddings. The role requires individuals with magnetic, high-energy personalities, outstanding interpersonal skills, and strong organizational habits. A successful Operations Manager ensures every detail is addressed accurately and on time. They must also possess genuine empathy to lead event staff with kindness, leadership, and professionalism, and be comfortable with both office/administrative work and the demands of "Day Of" event execution. Weekend and evening availability is required, as the company operates when clients and guests are celebrating. Qualified candidates should have a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • Passion for weddings, events, and hospitality.
  • Tremendous interpersonal skills (Verbal/Written/Listening/Presentation).
  • Insanely strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Iron-clad “follow through” skills.
  • Willingness to do "whatever it takes" to get the job done.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Finely honed skills to be graceful under pressure.
  • Ability to relate to a diverse set of team members and clients.
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
