Your future team: The Operations Manager reports to Director of Operations and has around 12 shift supervisor directly reporting to them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations, preferably with experience in equipment-intensive environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in the use of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain a safety-first environment, promoting proactive safety behavior for all employees and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Lead plant operations to improve processes, maximize equipment efficiency, and ensure targets for output, quality, and costs are met or exceeded.
  • Utilize root cause failure analyses to eliminate recurring issues and champion ongoing process improvement and Operational Excellence.
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling, ensuring all processes run within budgeted outputs and efficiencies.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Product Development, Projects, and Quality departments to drive integrated improvements that enhance process and equipment capabilities.
  • Monitor and enhance equipment reliability, collaborating on preventative and corrective actions to maximize uptime.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and peers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering ongoing development within the team.
  • Manage and report on operational KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), providing actionable insights to drive performance.
