About The Position

Premium Guard, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager for its Albion, IL location. This role reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for leading daily activities, improving safety, quality, and productivity, and managing resource allocation at the air filter manufacturing plant. Premium Guard, Inc. is a leading supplier of private label solutions in the automotive aftermarket, established in 1996, with a commitment to performance, innovation, and partnership.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or Engineering or equivalent in education and experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems – Lean, Six Sigma, IATF, etc.
Strong leadership, conflict management, problem solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager, or Plant Manager.
Knowledge of automotive air and cabin air filter manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment.
Maintains a safety-first culture throughout facility. Works with EH&S staff to establish and ensure implementation of safety standards.
Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget and facility objectives are met.
Monitors demand and capacity information to maintain appropriate hourly labor levels.
Develops systems and processes that track and optimize safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Effectively communicates at all levels and supports communication throughout the facility.
Establishes goals, conducts performance appraisals and provides coaching and guidance for direct reports.
Assists Plant Manager in the development of budgets.
Develops and supports programs that provide training and motivation, resolution of employee problems, and coordination of work efforts.
Supports and ensures enforcement of company policies and procedures.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
