About The Position

ID Logistics is a dynamic, entrepreneurial logistics company with global headquarters in France and US headquarters in Johns Creek, GA. The company is experiencing significant growth and customer expansion in the US, focusing on being people-focused and customer-centric. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a supply chain operation, providing overall direction and oversight in performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development across multiple sites. This role requires a hands-on, people-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume fulfillment environments, energized by building strong teams and driving performance on the floor. The ideal candidate brings strong operational expertise, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to motivate associates while delivering speed, accuracy, and exceptional customer outcomes in a startup environment. The position is located onsite in Henrico, VA.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of management experience with comprehensive knowledge in high-volume, fast-paced 3PL, distribution, warehouse, and transportation environments.
  • High-volume e-commerce fulfillment experience.
  • Strong background in both inbound and outbound operations.
  • Experience leading teams in fast-paced, high-accountability environments with a focus on engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive productivity, quality, and service improvements using data, metrics, and performance KPIs.
  • Experience with workforce planning, labor management, and peak volume scaling.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, warehouse management systems (WMS), and performance measurement tools.
  • Strong presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles preferred.
  • Experience with ADP platforms, including Workforce Now, Workforce Manager, and ADPRM, helpful.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3PL experience preferred.
  • Hazmat experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.
  • Evaluate overall operations and develop short and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives, including ramp-up and peak volume planning.
  • Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation operations to ensure company and customer requirements are met with a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and on-time fulfillment.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service effectiveness, and profitability using data-driven metrics and lean methodologies.
  • Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment, and property.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.
  • Directly manage budget and P&L for operations.
  • Develop work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels, managing labor costs, overtime, retention, and workforce planning for peak volumes.
  • Maximize quality and productivity by understanding and mastering all job standards for each function and evaluating performance variances to identify root cause, corrective action, and training needs.
  • Participate in the collection of performance measurements per customer, vendor, and/or site requirements, including KPIs such as throughput, service levels, order accuracy, and cycle time.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports.
  • Deliver a consistent, high-performance experience to our associates and customers.
  • Maintain a visible, floor-focused leadership presence to remove barriers, support teams, and drive real-time problem solving.
  • Build and sustain a culture of accountability, engagement, and ownership while motivating and developing high-performing teams.
