About The Position

The Operations Manager at United Rentals coordinates and directs the overall delivery of quality service to maximize branch productivity. Working closely with the Branch Manager, this role helps ensure safety, world-class customer service, standard process compliance, and effective, efficient operations. The position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 3 years of sales and operational experience.
Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment industry or a related industry.
Strong motivational and leadership skills.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Support the Branch Manager in implementing actions to achieve financial objectives.
Assist the Branch Manager in ensuring compliance with company policies.
Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives.
Manage the performance of direct staff, including Inside Sales Representatives, Drivers, and other applicable staff.
Motivate, coach, and train personnel.
Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, personal compliance, accountability, and communication.
Perform other duties as assigned.
