About The Position

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking an Operations Manager to join their leadership team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the daily leadership of the facility and team members, including staffing, scheduling, training, cost control, service standards, operational procedures, guest relations, sanitation, environment control, cash handling, staff motivation, safety, and security. This role involves taking ownership of a specific department (Arcade, F&B, Kitchen, Special Events, Track, or Overall Facility), running unit operations, and fostering an environment of ownership and accountability among team members. Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is a growing Family Entertainment company with locations featuring high-speed indoor Karting, VR Simulators, Arcades, and restaurants with scratch cocktails and culinary creations.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat and sociable throughout the workday
  • Work varying days, nights, holidays and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of restaurant or FEC management in a high volume environment
  • Proven leadership and team skills; ability to motivate and manage all levels of staff
  • Strong training and development background
  • Working knowledge of cost controls

Responsibilities

  • Lead team members with integrity and purpose

  • Manage daily operations: staffing, scheduling, repair and maintenance, cleanliness, organization, service timing, and quality product.
  • Responsible for the development of staff
  • Provide direct and honest feedback to staff regarding individual performance
  • Manage staff training and employee relations
  • Assure that staff morale is maintained at a high level
  • Take an active part in the recruitment and retention of staff
  • Accountable to maximize daily sales and effectively manage costs, labor and cash control
  • Manage department labor costs within acceptable budgets
  • Ensure site inspections are within acceptable standards
  • Manage organization and cleanliness of departmental areas
  • Work closely with Sales Department to ensure proper scheduling and planning for Events
  • Oversee, maintain and inventory areas of unit equipment
