About The Position

Inland Deicing Services (IDS) is the world's premier airport deicing & environmental services company specializing in the management and processing of glycol effluent generated from aircraft deicing. At IDS - Our sole focus is the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of deicing and anti-icing services to our carrier customers as well as the reclamation of and processing of the spent aircraft deicing fluid (SADF). Position Overview: The Site Operations Manager is responsible and accountable for the overall site safety and performance including the cost-effective use of facilities, equipment, labour and assets assigned to the site. The Manager also is responsible for the health, safety and productivity of employees under his/her direction. The Manager is further responsible for supporting the company goals and objectives and promoting the business interests of the company by conducting him or herself in a professional manner while maintaining excellent customer service and good public relations.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in related field of study required
  • Equivalent combination of education and personal experience considered
  • Successful completion of required background and clearance requirements
  • Must have 5 years manager experience handling operations and demonstrated ability to manage budgets
  • Mechanical, processing, and airfield knowledge
  • The ability to understand and demonstrate safety in the workplace
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance manuals and operating procedures
  • Excellent time management
  • Basic understanding of accounting management principles
  • Ability to effectively manage employees and interact with people
  • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • A valid driver’s license is required for this position

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the daily operations as well as provide leadership and coaching to increase overall safety, performance, maintenance, flight operations, facility requirements and customer service
  • Perform station audits, provide information needed for airline reports, and handle all airline and FAA questions/concerns as required
  • Develop and expand working relationships and communications with Airport Authority and existing customer base
  • Ensure all reporting; record keeping and communications are complete, accurate and timely as per company policies
  • Assist in the training of all operators in the proper operations of Glycol Recovery Vehicle Operations, Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) units, distillation, blending equipment, support systems and future recycling systems
