About The Position

The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the laundry operation to ensure efficient production and distribution processes. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence by managing resources, streamlining workflows, and maintaining high standards of workplace safety. The successful candidate will lead and develop teams to achieve performance targets while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. They will also be instrumental in controlling costs and maximizing productivity to support the company’s strategic objectives. Ultimately, the Operations Manager will ensure that all operational activities align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within a commercial laundry, manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and improving operational processes.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience with cost control and budget management.
  • Operations management skills are essential for coordinating daily activities and ensuring that production targets are met efficiently.
  • Employee performance and people management skills are used to motivate staff, conduct evaluations, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Workplace safety expertise is critical to implementing safety protocols and reducing workplace incidents, thereby protecting employees and minimizing downtime.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and manufacturing operations enables the manager to optimize workflows and resource allocation effectively.
  • Cost control skills are applied to monitor expenses, identify savings opportunities, and maintain profitability while sustaining high-quality output.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Operations Management.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with advanced warehouse management systems (WMS) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Demonstrated success in leading large teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
