About The Position

This position will be responsible for managing and directing all activities related to the Vehicle Processing Center’s operations and development of company objectives and strategies in UBC, PIO, and PDI. The Department is Vehicle Processing Center and reports to the Operations Sr. Manager. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (Expected from 6:00AM-4:00PM), with rotating weekends and overtime potentially required. The schedule is subject to change based on production requirements. This is an Onsite position located in Ellabell, GA 31308, with the requirement to commute within neighboring facilities for meetings and events.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or related field
  • At least 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience required
  • At least 4 years of experience in a fast-paced logistics, assembly, production, or distribution environment required.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Excel is required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety signage and rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Valid driver's license is required to operate vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure all established production, quality, and delivery commitments are met while determining responsibilities of the assigned Assistant Manager(s) positions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Work with internal and external customers to meet and exceed our customer satisfaction and expectations.
  • Ensure all sections of the facility are operating in a safety compliant manner.
  • Advise team of changing priorities and assignments to align with the customer(s) needs.
  • Collaborate with VPC department managers and supervisors to facilitate the efficient processing throughout all sections of the Vehicle Processing Center.
  • Provide guidance for the development of processes and plans, including setting and achieving the daily operation plan, personnel and staffing requirements, material needs, etc.
  • Review/create production and operating reports and direct the resolution of production problems to ensure minimum costs and to prevent production delays.
  • Ensure training and development of employees and that they comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ensure ISO compliance standards are met and manage maintenance of operational records as identified to maintain ISO compliance.
  • Assist with providing feedback to department employees regarding performance and address concerns as necessary.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor the production business plans for UBC, PIO, and PDI (VPC).
  • Perform record keeping for effective business management and organize, compile, store, and retrieve production data and reporting as needed.
  • This position is required to fill in where needed, including but not limited to all supporting operational positions.
  • May be required to assist in vehicle driving in urgent circumstances to meet objectives.
