Driven by Purpose. Winning by Performance. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a supply chain operation. The Operations Manager provides overall direction and oversight in the areas of performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development across multiple sites. This role requires a hands-on, people-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume fulfillment environments and is energized by building strong teams and driving performance on the floor. The ideal candidate brings strong operational expertise, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to motivate associates while delivering speed, accuracy, and exceptional customer outcomes in a startup environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years management experience and comprehensive knowledge in a high volume fast paced 3PL, distribution, warehouse, and transportation environment.
  • High volume e-commerce experience
  • Strong background in both inbound or outbound
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, WMS, and other metrics measurement tools.
  • Strong presentation, writing and speaking proficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the operation's needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles.
  • Experience with ADP platforms, including WorkForce Now, WorkForce Manager, ADPRM.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or Logistics or business-related field.
  • 3PL experience.
  • Hazmat experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.
  • Evaluate overall operations and develop short and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives, including ramp-up and peak volume planning.
  • Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation operations to ensure company and customer requirements are met with a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and on-time fulfillment.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service effectiveness, and profitability using data-driven metrics and lean methodologies.
  • Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment, and property.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.
  • Directly manage budget and P&L for operations.
  • Develop work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels, managing labor costs, overtime, retention, and workforce planning for peak volumes.
  • Maximize quality and productivity by understanding and mastering all job standards for each function and evaluating performance variances to identify root cause, corrective action, and training needs.
  • Participate in the collection of performance measurements per customer, vendor, and/or site requirements, including KPIs such as throughput, service levels, order accuracy, and cycle time.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports.
  • Deliver a consistent, high-performance experience to our associates and customers.
  • Maintain a visible, floor-focused leadership presence to remove barriers, support teams, and drive real-time problem solving.
  • Build and sustain a culture of accountability, engagement, and ownership while motivating and developing high-performing teams.
