About The Position

This role assists in daily operations, Human Resources, and provides support as needed by the Ownership Group. The Operations Manager will support the leadership team and Ownership Group by finding and ordering asphalt, rentals, and dump sites for dispatch, and relaying this information to foremen. This position also helps with on-the-spot needs for employees in the field, assists with employee issues, posts jobs, hires new employees, and manages the onboarding process including MVR and drug screening. Additionally, the Operations Manager handles new hire orientation, training, and open enrollment, assists with training and safety programs, conducts compensation research, and manages the benefits program. This role is responsible for HR matters from policy to payroll and benefits, maintaining employee files and file compliance, and managing equipment inventory. All other tasks, duties, and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor and ownership group are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or experience to compensate
  • Two years of Human Resources experience
  • Two years of management experience preferred
  • Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, staff, vendors
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical
  • Proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
  • Minimal knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive

Responsibilities

  • Support the leadership team and Ownership Group
