About The Position

A. Duie Pyle is a family-owned business since 1924 that provides integrated transportation and distribution solutions throughout the Northeast. They have a vast network of Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) service centers, warehouse facilities, and dedicated locations, enabling them to offer flexible and seamless integrated solutions tailored to customer needs. The Operations Manager will assist in daily terminal operations, including P&D, Dock, Line Haul, Office, Recruiting, and OS&D departments.

Requirements

  • Previous LTL Transportation experience
  • Previous Management experience
  • Ability to work all shifts as required
  • Computer skills to include MS Office
  • Ability to Lead, Teach, and Mentor staff while enforcing Company Policies
  • Effective communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the management of staff is consistent with Company goals and guidelines
  • Developing and maintaining cross-training materials, performance reviews, and ensuring the development of supervisors
  • Monitoring terminal operation statistics and encouraging improvement; fostering a spirit of innovative thinking in attaining goals
  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels throughout terminal
  • Developing, maintaining and improving current processes to ensure security of freight and personnel, while promoting and demonstrating Pyle Culture
