About The Position

This role is responsible for managing multiple production teams, totaling up to 50+ individuals. The Operations Manager will ensure routine inspection and preventive maintenance are performed on assigned equipment, and that defects or needed repairs are reported to management. They will also ensure equipment and work areas are properly maintained and cleaned, and that company and OSHA safety procedures are followed. Adherence to daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings is also required.

Requirements

• Verifiable record of improving operational efficiency and costs
• Experienced leader who understands change management and how to build positive work environments
• Excellent problem solving / decision making skills
• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate across a wide spectrum including other area managers, technical and shop personnel
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet, Outlook, and Heat Treat Furnace Software
• Excellent people/project, team working skills with ability to develop careers of teams
• Understanding of EHS, OSHA’s regulations, and Forging specifications
• Proven application of leading manufacturing methods, Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, SMED, Kaizen, etc.
