About The Position

The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of resident care, ensuring compliance with Wisconsin's DHS 83 regulations governing Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs). This role involves supervising resident care staff, coordinating individualized service plans, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for all residents.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year experience in assisted living, senior care, or healthcare
Familiarity with assisted living
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to assist in resident transfers and respond to emergency situations.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support resident care staff, ensuring duties are performed in alignment with facility policies and DHS 83 standards.
Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide training, and address concerns.
Assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive individual service plans for each resident.
Conduct regular assessments to monitor residents' health and well-being, updating service plans accordingly.
Ensure residents receive proper care and treatment.
Maintain thorough documentation of resident care, staff training, and facility operations to demonstrate compliance with DHS 83 regulations.
Participate in facility inspections and audits, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting facility operations and resident care.
Coordinate orientation and ongoing training for resident care staff, ensuring competency in areas such as standard precautions, fire safety, first aid, and medication management.
Monitor and document staff completion of required training programs.
Provide mentorship and support to staff, fostering professional growth and a positive work environment.
