About The Position

The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of resident care, ensuring compliance with Wisconsin's DHS 83 regulations governing Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs). This role involves supervising resident care staff, coordinating individualized service plans, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for all residents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in assisted living, senior care, or healthcare
  • Familiarity with assisted living
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to assist in resident transfers and respond to emergency situations.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support resident care staff, ensuring duties are performed in alignment with facility policies and DHS 83 standards.
  • Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide training, and address concerns.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive individual service plans for each resident.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor residents' health and well-being, updating service plans accordingly.
  • Ensure residents receive proper care and treatment.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of resident care, staff training, and facility operations to demonstrate compliance with DHS 83 regulations.
  • Participate in facility inspections and audits, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting facility operations and resident care.
  • Coordinate orientation and ongoing training for resident care staff, ensuring competency in areas such as standard precautions, fire safety, first aid, and medication management.
  • Monitor and document staff completion of required training programs.
  • Provide mentorship and support to staff, fostering professional growth and a positive work environment.
