The Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project (BLMP) envisions a world where no one is forced to give up their homeland and where all Black LGBTQIA+ people are free and liberated. We build and center the power of Black LGBTQIA+ migrants to ensure the liberation of all Black people through Organizing & Base-building, Strategic Communications, and Viability & Sustainability. We are led by a directly impacted steering committee, staff and consultants, and operate organizing networks in New York City, DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia region), Minneapolis, California, and the South. We build power, community, and knowledge in the U.S., while challenging the role that the U.S. plays globally in creating the conditions that force us to leave our homes. The Operations Manager is a highly trusted role responsible for overseeing and strengthening the internal systems, infrastructure, and operational practices of BLMP. This role is ideal for an experienced, detail-oriented systems nerd who enjoys building efficient, accessible, and scalable systems that support a dynamic and growing team. The Operations Manager serves as the primary point of contact for staff IT systems and operational processes, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to succeed. This role will lead multiple projects, manage day-to-day operational infrastructure, and embed values of disability justice and language access into all systems and workflows.
