About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing personnel by monitoring and directing the tasks and assignments of supervisors/dispatchers. This role involves notifying personnel of policy or operational changes, ensuring timely completion of road checks, reviews, corrective case interviews, and incident reports. The Operations Manager will assist Risk Management in ensuring safety procedures are followed and coordinate communications between departments. Additionally, this position supervises the maintenance and operations of operational software systems, reviews and investigates disciplinary matters (including attendance, complaints, and potential violations of the bargaining unit agreement and Code of Conduct), and supervises subordinate staff through performance evaluations, hiring and termination recommendations, and completion of personnel-related forms and documents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Four years’ experience in the transportation industry
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Background investigation
  • Pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of college may substitute for up to two years of the required experience
  • Trapeze and Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience is a plus
