About The Position

At Wycliffe Bible Translators, your work is more than just a job. As an Operations Manager for the corporate events team in the Offices of the President, you’ll be responsible for managing high-level operational workflows, event project management, and contributing to the smooth execution of a unified event strategy, with emphasis on external events. You will support the Senior Director of Events Strategy by helping translate strategic priorities into actionable event plans while maintaining efficient day-to-day operations. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in advancing Wycliffe’s mission by supporting leadership, optimizing operations and fostering a culture of excellence. Through your attention to detail, problem-solving, project and logistic management, and collaborative approach to operations, you will help the OOTP operate smoothly and contribute meaningfully to our shared purpose of advancing Bible translation worldwide. The Offices of the President partner with external and external stakeholders to facilitate key initiatives that promote global partnerships and organizational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 3-5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
  • Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
  • Support the execution of a unified external event strategy by partnering with the Senior Director of Event Strategy to ensure alignment with Wycliffe’s mission, vision and core values and the delivery of a consistent, high-quality guest experience.
  • Manage external event projects from inception to end, including scope definition, project plans, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables, while tracking progress, addressing risks, and escalating decision points or resourcing needs to event leadership as appropriate.
  • Leverage project management tools and workflows to drive visibility and accountability across external events, supporting effective planning, monitoring, and reporting of budgets, resources, and timelines.
  • Lead day-to-day operational and onsite execution for external events, following established event operations processes and best practices to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated experiences aligned with the strategic direction set by event leadership.
  • Oversee operational planning execution across all phases of external events, including program and experience design, timelines and logistics coordination, vendor and partner management, speaker briefing and support, event communications and collateral, onsite production, and post-event follow-up.
  • Ensure operational excellence across external corporate events, such as President’s Forum, Night of Storytelling, Women of the Word, Small Gatherings, and external celebrations, maintaining consistency, efficiency, and alignment with Wycliffe’s mission, vision, and core values.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, serving as a liaison with the President’s office and supporting executive and external-facing events.
  • Identify, recommend and help implement process improvements, applying event operations best practices, to enhance efficiency, scalability and participant experience.
  • Develop, maintain, and apply evergreen tools and templates for repeatable external events, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with established best practices and event standards.
  • Coordinate with team members, volunteers, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless execution on event days, proactively addressing issues and supporting a positive participant experience.
  • Partner on post-event evaluations and reporting, applying insights and creative problem-solving to improve future event outcomes and operations.
  • Collaborate with OOTP staff on special projects and events as assigned and needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Event Strategy and/or Chief of Staff and Strategy.
