About The Position

Source Energy Services is seeking an Operations Manager to lead operations across multiple high-impact facilities. This role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful improvements and operational excellence within a collaborative leadership environment with cross-functional support. The company is a growing, dynamic, and evolving organization in the energy industry, focused on the integrated production and distribution of high-quality frac sand and other bulk oil and gas well completion materials. Source provides a full end-to-end solution for frac sand, supported by its mines, processing facilities, terminal network, logistics capabilities, and a proprietary well site mobile sand storage and handling system.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in industrial operations
  • Experience in mining, aggregates, sand processing, or similar industry
  • Experience with continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership across mining, wet plant, dry plant, and rail operations
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and workforce planning
  • Manage performance, including coaching, reviews, and corrective action
  • Develop supervisors and frontline leaders through training and mentorship
  • Promote employee engagement, accountability, and a high-performance culture
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and standards
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate production to meet customer demand
  • Ensure plant performance, uptime, and throughput across all sites
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action as needed
  • Partner with quality and logistics teams to meet customer requirements
  • Develop and manage operating budgets
  • Control costs and optimize resource allocation
  • Track and report on production, efficiency, and cost performance
  • Support long-term planning and capital improvement initiatives
  • Analyze production data and trends to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with regulations
  • Lead safety initiatives, training, and regular safety meetings
  • Respond to incidents and support investigations
  • Maintain strong environmental stewardship and compliance standards
  • Stop work when conditions are unsafe
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, HSE, Mining, and HR teams
  • Communicate performance, risks, and operational updates to leadership
  • Support a positive and professional work environment
