This role is part of the Manufacturing & Production Operations Management work, which involves managing teams and processes across multiple manufacturing areas such as Production Engineering, Manufacturing Process Development, Tool and Die/Model Making, Production Operations (assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, packaging, etc.), and Production Planning/Control.

Responsibilities

  • Directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others, and mobilizing resources.
  • Managing two or more direct reports.
  • Monitoring and achieving operational and/or financial results for their area of responsibility.
  • Performing people management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
  • Ensuring that quality standards are being met within each department.
  • Ensuring that safety standards are being maintained during work shifts.
  • Facilitating a culture where employees feel respected in the workplace and engaged in their work.
  • Managing experienced professionals and/or supervisors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Heading one or more sections or a small department.

  • Reporting to person of authority any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participating in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions as required.
  • Following all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Reporting any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority.
