As the Operations Manager, you will provide essential leadership and strategic direction to ensure our wood fiber insulation production operates safely, efficiently, and consistently, from the initial intake of raw materials to the dispatch of finished goods. This role emphasizes developing people over managing machinery. You will work through a dedicated Production Supervisor and an exceptional Operations team, with your success measured by both team development and performance metrics. Requirements

10+ years of experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
3–5 years of experience managing and developing people, overseeing 2–6 direct reports.
A genuine passion for coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing teams; this is primarily a people leadership role.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Power, or a related field.
Familiarity with OSHA industrial safety programs (lockout/tagout, confined space entry, hot work permits) and NFPA requirements for combustible dust.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to executives and coaching on the floor.
Proficiency with MS Office, mill execution systems, and control systems.

Responsibilities

Leading with safety first, modeling safe behavior, promoting a culture of continuous safety improvement, and ensuring the team adheres to safety standards.
Coaching and developing Supervisors and Operations Team Members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill enhancement.
Collaborating cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, Building Science, Supply Chain, and EHS departments to ensure seamless production flow.
Guiding Supervisors and their crews in a high-growth, fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Mentoring effective troubleshooting strategies to enhance machine uptime and product yield.
Championing a culture of continuous improvement across safety, uptime, yield, and cost-efficiency.
Managing administrative leadership tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and performance management.
Serving as a consistent and accessible resource for the team, which may include some nights, weekends, and on-call support.
