About The Position

This role assists in daily operations, Human Resources, and provides support to the Ownership Group. The Operations Manager is responsible for a variety of tasks including managing HR functions, overseeing employee onboarding and training, maintaining employee files, managing equipment inventory, and supporting leadership.

Requirements

Two years of Human Resources experience
Two years of management experience preferred
Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, staff, vendors
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical
Proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
Minimal knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree
Experience with HR software/apps/websites a plus

Responsibilities

Support the leadership team and Ownership Group
Find and order asphalt, rentals, and dump sites for dispatch
Relay asphalt plant, rental, and dump site information to foremen
Help with on-the-spot needs for employees in the field
Assist with employee’s issues
Post job and hire new employees
Onboarding, MVR, and drug screening of new employees
Manage new hire orientation, training, and open enrollment process
Assist with training and safety programs
Compensation research, questions, and adjustments
Research and implement benefits program
Handle HR matters from policy to payroll and benefits
Maintain employee files and file compliance
All other task, duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor and ownership group.
