About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for operations and facility management. These duties include coordinating activities of workers engaged in receiving, inspection, processing, transporting, stocking, order filling, shipping, cycle counting, and maintaining stock records. The Operations Manager works closely with other Operations Managers to ensure efficient and effective operations of the facility. The manager shall adhere to and support existing policies and procedures while making recommendations for improvements. The manager will be collaborating with the Program Manager to ensure that all customer contract requirements pertaining to operations are met or exceeded.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED with a proven track record of management effectiveness and successes
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to build strong working relationships, influence and manage change, coach, guide, and mentor employee owners, and practice servant leadership
Sensitivity to others’ needs and feelings, being understanding and helpful to others on the job, maintain composure and keeping emotions in check

Solid computer proficiency with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on advanced Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, scheduling tools

Must be extremely reliable, responsible, and dependable in order to fulfill obligations
Ability to become first aid certified and maintain continuous certification training
Engage and support Logistics’ safety culture and efficient operation of the business and maintain positive working relationships with employees across the organization
Participate in and support the principles of Great Game of Business and Open Book Management

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain or related field
5 years of experience in operations with exposure to supply chain or inventory management, with at least two years of experience as a supervisor

Responsibilities

Participate in and support the principles of Great Game of Business and Open Book Management
Provide strong leadership for department and communicate a strategic vision for the department
Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve organization’s goals
Build and develop strong relationships with internal and external customers
Manage direct reports including employee selection, development, and disciplinary action
Conduct employee performance evaluations to ensure a well-qualified and motivated workforce
Manage time-keeping and track absenteeism
Initiate and maintain proper and necessary safety controls to provide a safe working environment for all associates
Review and enforce material tracking and quality control systems
Manage warehousing and storage of all inventories
Manage the delivery of materials and supplies to all departments upon schedule and/or request
Ensure accuracy of all material movement documentation
Manage processing of all receiving reports on all shipments received through the warehouse
Maintain records of supplies and materials entering and leaving the warehouse
Responsible for oversight of the training program for direct reports
Follow approved work instructions
