About The Position

The Operations Manager is the backbone responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process, driving efficiency from raw materials to final delivery. This role ensures products are produced safely, on time, and within budget, while leading teams to meet quality standards and strategic company goals.

  • Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment leading teams.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long period of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following detailed safety precautions (wearing respirators, handling hazardous materials, working with industrial machinery, etc.).
  • Using equipment as per operating procedures (heavy machines, test equipment, power tools, etc.).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (e.g., "Green Card" holder), asylee, or refugee as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with ProCIM inventory module or similar MES.
  • Masters’ degree.
  • Experience in the PCB industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, plan, and coordinate daily production activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to improve productivity, reduce waste, and manage costs.
  • Enforce safety regulations, maintain high quality standards, and ensure 100% compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate daily operations and workflow throughout the shop.
  • Ensure all departments are working on the right jobs and jobs are shipped on time.
  • Ensure all supervisors and/or department leads (including night shift) are enforcing all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Research all production, quality and safety related issues, escalate where necessary and communicate to supervisors and other shift managers/supervisor as needed.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor production personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address challenges and resolve problems.
  • Act as an Emergency Point of Contact if an emergency occurs during off hours.
  • Must be willing and capable to learn PCB manufacturing processes if this is not a core competency.
  • Will be responsible for coordinating outside services whenever necessary and make sure they’re on schedule.
