This role involves managing the daily activities of a logistics operation to maximize the scheduling and delivery of commodities to the customer. The Operations Manager will interface with the customer to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence, providing input on local conditions and receiving direction on real-time staffing adjustments. The position requires enacting contingency plans, escalating and directing activities during system problems or disasters, identifying potential issues, troubleshooting, and participating in post-mortem analyses for process improvements. The role also includes reviewing performance results against targets, taking corrective measures with authorization, and providing effective leadership to Warehouse Managers and/or teams, enforcing company standards and acting as a role model. Other duties may be assigned.
