About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead production and warehouse operations on 2nd or 3rd shift in Bloomington, IN. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading a large hourly workforce, and ensuring the team meets expectations for productivity, quality, attendance, and safety. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-driven leader with strong people-management skills and experience working in a fast-paced production, manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations management, production management, warehouse management, distribution, or a related leadership role
- Experience managing a sizable hourly workforce
- Strong people-management and leadership experience
- Proven ability to hold teams accountable for productivity, quality, attendance, and safety
- Excellent communication and employee-relations skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining appropriate leadership and accountability
- Fluent in English and either Spanish or Burmese
Nice To Haves
- Previous 2nd or 3rd shift leadership experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations for a fast-paced production and warehouse environment
- Manage and develop a sizable hourly workforce
- Provide leadership and direction to supervisors, leads, and hourly employees
- Drive accountability for productivity, quality, attendance, and safety
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure production and operational goals are consistently met
- Address employee performance and attendance issues in a timely and professional manner
- Promote a positive, respectful, and productive workplace culture
- Partner with leadership and other departments to resolve operational challenges
- Communicate expectations clearly and consistently across all levels of the organization
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed
- Support employee training, coaching, and development
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement effective solutions
- Provide strong leadership and visibility throughout the assigned shift
