The Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity (CEO) provides leadership on issues of economic justice by advancing racial equity and inclusive growth to ensure that all Philadelphians share in the city’s prosperous future and by alleviating the immediate impact of poverty on individuals, families and communities. CEO is Philadelphia’s Community Action Agency (CAA); CAAs are private or public agencies created by the 1964 Economic Opportunity Act and federally designated to receive Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding. The Operations Manager will manage and implement risk and safety, IT and Fleet management workflows to meet objectives set by the Deputy Executive Director of Operations. This role ensures that the internal operations of the office are running efficiently and in line with both City rules and regulations as well as funder requirements. The position also involves managing and monitoring the department’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring timely and accurate inventory tracking, managing safety reporting and serving as chair of a compliant Safety Committee, building teamwork within the Operations unit, and managing the office telephony program. The Operations Manager will troubleshoot issues and errors as they arise and liaise with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) regularly.
