About The Position

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to lead our plant operations in Baie-Sainte-Anne (New-Brunswick). This role involves providing leadership and implementing organizational strategies to ensure our customers receive products that meet Berger’s high quality standards. As Operations Manager, you will be part of a management team that oversees all manufacturing and shipping for our plants across New-Brunswick. We are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager who enjoys being present on the production floor, building strong relationships with employees and actively supporting day-to-day operations. Our Operations Manager will be a visible leader in the plant, capable of balancing operational performance with people leadership, while fostering a positive, safe and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, engineering, or any suitable combination of relevant training and/or experience will be considered
  • 5 to 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing environments
  • Strong ability to connect with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach with strong operational judgment
  • Strong teamwork spirit and communication skills
  • Strong management skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams of people
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing operations and multi-site management

Responsibilities

  • Develop initiatives to achieve performance, quality and safety standards and goals
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and actively support day-to-day operations alongside teams
  • Build trusting relationships with employees and supervisors by understanding operational realities and encouraging open communication
  • Utilize production management expertise in an automated, fast-paced environment while establishing optimal production schedules and working methods
  • Act as a hands-on leader focused on execution, problem-solving and continuous operational support
  • Be an agent of change and promote a strong culture of health and safety at work
  • Promote Berger values in our plants to create a positive and team oriented work environment
  • Provide employee coaching and identify opportunities for growth and development to help employees further their career at Berger
  • Participate in annual budgeting processes, controls and forecasts
