About The Position

We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on Operations Manager to lead and elevate the day-to-day operations of our Omaha branch. This is a key leadership position responsible for creating operational excellence across our warehouse, inventory, logistics, and fleet. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and is motivated by improving processes, developing teams, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. As Operations Manager, you will work closely with company leadership and department teams to turn business objectives into action—improving efficiency, controlling costs, strengthening accountability, and creating systems that support continued growth.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in operations, warehouse, distribution, construction products, logistics, or a related management environment.
Proven experience leading teams and developing employees.
Strong understanding of warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and logistics operations.
Experience with fleet management.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize, make sound decisions, and keep teams moving in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on when needed.
Strong understanding of workplace safety, compliance, and operational best practices.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of daily company operations, ensuring the business runs efficiently, safely, and profitably.
Establish clear priorities, expectations, and accountability across operational teams.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve overall productivity.
Lead warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics operations.
Improve warehouse organization, workflow, order accuracy, and fulfillment processes.
Coordinate deliveries and logistics to ensure products arrive accurately and on time.
Partner with sales and customer service teams to quickly resolve order, delivery, and fulfillment issues.
Oversee company vehicles, equipment, and delivery operations.
Maintain appropriate fleet standards, scheduling, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
Promote safe and efficient driving and delivery practices.
Identify opportunities to improve routing, utilization, and overall fleet efficiency.
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team.
Establish clear performance expectations and provide coaching, feedback, and accountability.
Support recruiting, onboarding, training, employee development, and performance evaluations.
Create an environment where employees are engaged, supported, and motivated to succeed.
Foster a culture built around teamwork, ownership, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
