About The Position

Flexsteel Industries, Inc. is seeking a motivated Operations Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely execution of all operational activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, returns, damages, maintenance, and administrative tasks. The Operations Manager will be responsible for coaching, developing, and engaging supervisors and associates through regular communication, training, and performance feedback. A strong emphasis will be placed on promoting a safety culture and ensuring compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position also involves identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost control, while supporting various programs related to training, safety, housekeeping, quality, cost reduction, security, and associate involvement. The role also includes assisting in the maintenance of equipment, powered industrial trucks, fleet, and facility standards, and fostering a respectful, team-oriented, and accountable work environment.

Requirements

Previous leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or a related operational environment.
Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
Experience supporting safety, quality, productivity, inventory control, and cost improvement initiatives.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on distribution center environment.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is required.
Ability to work on-site in Edgerton, KS.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely execution.
Support shipping, receiving, inventory control, returns, damages, maintenance, and administrative activities.
Coach, develop, and engage supervisors and associates through regular communication, training, and performance feedback.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, improve quality, reduce waste, and control costs.
Support programs related to training, safety, housekeeping, quality, cost reduction, security, and associate involvement.
Help maintain equipment, powered industrial trucks, fleet, and facility standards.
