About The Position

The Operations Manager is a member of the CVS/pharmacy Store Management team and helps advance the company’s purpose of supporting people on their path to better health. The role drives store execution and performance while building customer loyalty through excellent service. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Operations Manager maintains an engaged and productive store team through leadership, initiative, and leading by example. The Operations Manager supports the Store Manager in the overall leadership and strategic operation of the store, including store management and policy implementation, sales and inventory management, employee staffing, training and development, financial management, and customer service leadership. This role is not part of the CVS/pharmacy Retail Management Development Program and is not eligible for direct promotion to Store Manager.

Requirements

Deductive reasoning ability, advanced analytical skills, and computer skills.
Advanced communication, leadership, supervision, and influencing skills.
Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent store issues.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience as a retail manager or supervisor.

Responsibilities

Lead others and work effectively with store crews.
Supervise, assign, and direct the activities of the store crew.
Communicate information to store crew and supervisors openly and in a timely manner.
Support the Store Manager with action plans for operational and service improvement.
Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
Support store management, policy implementation, sales and inventory management, employee staffing, training and development, and financial management.
