The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring all associates understand and use safe work practices, completing safety observations, determining daily workload based on corporate directives, and monitoring inventory movements. This role involves evaluating staffing needs, reassigning associates to meet daily demand, and working with Operations Supervisors to achieve key performance indicators, safety, performance, and budget targets. The manager will also receive and review inbound truck schedules, expedite priority product receiving, picking, and shipping, and resolve warehouse management system and inventory discrepancies. Effective communication with associates and Performance Instructors regarding business objectives and current issues is crucial. The role includes building an environment of engagement and inclusion, identifying and implementing process improvements, and traveling to other facilities to assist when needed. Additionally, the Operations Manager will assist associates with HR-related issues, participate in hiring, set goals, provide feedback, monitor performance, provide resources and support, assist supervisors with management-level resolutions, provide coaching and developmental opportunities, and help associates transition through change.
