About The Position

Bolt6 is a sports technology company focused on visual innovation, including real-time tracking, data overlays, broadcast graphics, and AR experiences. The Operations Manager (US) will lead project delivery across the US, managing the full P&L, driving operational precision, and leading a high-performing team. This role involves driving delivery, managing resources, refining processes, and pushing for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations management within the sports technology or broadcasting industry, with a strong track record of successfully managing projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with initiative and the ability to pick up and develop projects independently.
  • Ability to work quickly and make effective decisions.
  • Intellectually curious and has the drive to ask the right questions in order to get to the bottom of complex issues.
  • Individuals who are able to be flexible/are flexible in working arrangements, including weekends and evenings as required by event schedules.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to quickly grasp complex issues.
  • The ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines whilst remaining organised.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in live sports events or broadcasting environments.
  • Technical knowledge of camera systems, tracking software, and broadcasting equipment.
  • Familiarity with international logistics and experience managing projects in diverse cultural settings.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • A degree in a STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) subject.

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership for the successful delivery of every event within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensuring the operational team is effectively delivering and you are on target for the P&L of your business area, hitting key EBIT milestones.
  • Ensuring all projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Directly managing a team of Operations Engineers, assessing current operational models and changing them to improve delivery and efficiency.
  • Serving as the point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and providing clear communication on project status, technical requirements, and operational logistics.
  • Developing and executing detailed logistics plans, including equipment transport, installation schedules, and staffing needs.
  • Identifying staffing needs for fulltime and freelance employees and recruiting the required staff.
  • Implementing rigorous quality control processes to ensure system functionality and performance, and providing support during events to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensuring all operations comply with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments, equipment checks, and adherence to local and international standards.
  • Analyzing operational performance and client feedback to identify areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize processes.
  • Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and providing regular financial reporting, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Overseeing the training and development of the technical team.
  • Understanding contractual obligations for each event and ensuring all aspects are met.
  • Ensuring that all events are invoiced correctly and on time.
  • Being part of on-site teams delivering, building relationships, and improving understanding of the wider industry.
  • Using entrepreneurial and technical skills to identify complementary areas for growth.
