About The Position

The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of the cremation process, including check-in, cremation, processing, closing, returning of cremains, paw print area, and engraving. This role involves leading and inspiring the team to deliver exceptional service, acting as a positive role model, and promoting a safe and positive work environment. The manager will conduct high-quality, respectful cremation services (training provided), assist in staff reviews and disciplinary actions, and maintain communication with management to ensure SOPs are upheld. Responsibilities also include planning and scheduling driver routes, serving as the main point of contact for driver communication, maintaining attention to detail for error-free service to multiple families, monitoring driver movements for efficiency, responding promptly and professionally to customers and veterinary staff, and assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and vehicles. Other related duties as assigned by management are also part of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the cremation process to include; check-in, cremation, processing, closing, returning of cremains, paw print area, and engraving.
  • Use of Faithful Companion Samsara GPS system and Companionware (portal).
  • Lead and inspire the Faithful Companion team to deliver exceptional service on a daily basis.
  • Be a positive role model and promote a safe and positive work environment.
  • Conduct high-quality, respectful cremation services (training provided).
  • Assist in the review process for all staff and assist Location Manager with disciplinary action for staff.
  • Maintain a line of communication with the Location Manager and Regional Manager to ensure SOPs are upheld.
  • Plan and schedule driver routes for pick-ups and returns to home and veterinary clinics.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all driver-facing communication via phone, proprietary software, text, and email.
  • Maintain attention to detail while serving multiple families, ensuring an error-free standard.
  • Monitor the movement of drivers to meet scheduled pick-ups and returns efficiently.
  • Respond to customers and veterinary staff promptly and professionally, providing thorough support.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and presentable state of the crematory facility and company vehicles.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
