About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for achieving short-to-mid strategic objectives while managing the P&L for production, maintenance, customer service, and supply chain. This role directly reports to the General Manager to maximize process effectiveness, readiness, synergies, and standardization. The goal is to ensure high-level efficiency, minimize costs, and operate in line with applicable standards, regulations, global manufacturing practices, and Corporate & Local procedures.

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent.
  • Over 10 years of experience within Operations Management and/or Technical Management in the Plastic sector.
  • Experience with injection molding technologies, from initial idea to mass production.
  • Program management & product development expertise in advanced components, drug delivery and dosing systems.
  • Knowledge of Product and Production: process and features techniques.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement management: techniques, methodologies and tools (Lean Management and Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of Data Analysis and performances operations metrics: methodologies, techniques, tools and applications (KPI).
  • Familiarity with Systems (ERP, IQMS), tools and applications for the relevant processes.
  • Knowledge of applicable standards such as ISO (9001, 13485), cGMP, FDA, CFR, OHSAS.

Responsibilities

  • Leads assigned functions, sets goals for costs, time, and quality, manages assigned resources, systems, and processes, working with enabler functions, and delivering results in line with requirements, service levels, standards, targets, regulatory compliance, and procedures.
  • Defines and monitors the execution of production plans in terms of time, volumes, mix, quality, and costs, reviewing and approving local plans in coordination with production leaders.
  • Provides effective technical resolutions for reducing complaints, increasing services, and fulfilling sales demand.
  • Collaborates effectively with Quality, Tooling, Sales, and Program Management to support processes and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Translates strategy execution into actionable plans.
  • Ensures effective running of processes, business continuity, and compliance in line with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, procedures, and programs. Enables a continuous improvement mindset and process harmonization in coordination with involved functions.
  • Oversees the prompt, effective, and efficient flow of corrective and preventive actions, coordinating execution in compliance with applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and specifications.
  • Defines benchmarks and KPIs for performance and identifies critical issues for corrective and preventative measures.
  • Manages and proposes budgets, including industrial equipment CAPEX, ensures fulfillment of COGS & Capex and execution, and properly manages the economic financial statement and capital performances according to the assigned budget.
  • Plans, organizes, manages, coaches, and develops assigned staff, ensuring effective talent management, career path, development, and training.
