The Production Manager (Band 7) is a people-first culture change agent accountable for transforming Repack Operations into a high-performance, highly engaged, and continuously improving operation . This role requires a leader with deep experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments (e.g., automotive, FMCG, high-volume regulated production) who can apply Lean, digital automation, and process efficiency principles to a complex, multi-building repack operation. The role balances hands-on floor leadership with strategic CI and automation deployment , ensuring sustainable gains in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and colleague engagement. DESCRIPTION: Lead the strategic and day-to-day operations of manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Guide operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and financial targets. Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external customers, coordinating cross-functional activities to meet customer commitments and business objectives.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of operations leadership experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments (Automotive, FMCG, high-volume industrial preferred)
  • Proven track record as a people-led change agent
  • Deep hands-on experience in Lean / CI transformation
  • Experience leading multi-area or multi-building operations
  • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of experience in operations management in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical/medical device
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, quality systems, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience leading, developing and supporting teams
  • Demonstrated ability to implement operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with all levels of organization
  • Experience with ERP systems, lean manufacturing, and process improvement methodologies
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to implement performance improvements
  • Budget management and financial acumen
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in cleanroom/controlled environments and use required PPE when needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing automation, semi-automation, and/or RPA
  • Background in high-discipline operating systems (automotive production systems)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Science, or related technical field
  • Professional certifications in Supply Chain, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing a plus
