About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operations Manager to join our waste and recycling management team! Coastal Waste & Recycling is a growing, privately owned, locally operated solid waste disposal and recycling company headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, serving communities across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina (with more to come)! Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as an operations manager or supervisor, preferably in the waste management or transportation industry
In-depth knowledge of waste management practices, regulations, and safety standards
Excellent leadership, team management, and decision-making skills
Proficiency in using operational management software and other relevant computer applications
Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed

Nice To Haves

bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the activities of waste collection, disposal, and recycling teams
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards
Develop, implement, and optimize operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality
Analyze and monitor operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
Lead, manage, and train staff, providing coaching and guidance to ensure high performance
Work closely with other departments to optimize route planning and resource allocation
Resolve customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution
Maintain detailed operational records, including service logs, maintenance schedules, and compliance reports
Oversee regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment
Manage the maintenance and repair of equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition
