This position coordinates and oversees internal drivers and third-party contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Requirements

2-5 years of supervisory, operations, logistics, or contractor management experience preferred.
Proficient computer skills & excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail.
Must be able to plan and coordinate complex systems and processes.
Be able to operate heavy equipment, i.e. tractor, loader, spreader, etc. if properly trained.

Nice To Haves

Experience managing contractors, transportation providers, or field service vendors preferred.
Agriculture, Environmental Services or Construction Management experience preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA and state/federal safety rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

Directing day-to-day land application operations, contractor management, logistics coordination, compliance activities, and field execution to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery.
Coordinating and overseeing internal drivers and third-party contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Ensuring safety is always a priority for all team members, including adherence to policies & procedures and ensuring all training is completed timely and effectively.
Directly supervising employees as well as sub-contract services.
Interpreting operational data and making operational changes as needed.
Coordinating equipment and resource availability to maximize operational uptime and productivity.
Interfacing with customers, landowners, haulers, and contractors to ensure efficient transportation and land application of material.
Achieving budget & other KPI targets for managed projects.
Managing project financials & providing accurate forecasting/scheduling.
Applying effective project management and/or performance improvement tools and techniques for system initiatives, balancing cost, schedule, and risks against projects and objectives.
Working collaboratively with Leadership and Operations.
Developing and contributing to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adhering to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards.
Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and governmental/accreditation regulations.
Maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential materials daily.
Managing, training, supervising, and monitoring performance of field personnel to ensure safe and proper operation of equipment.
Monitoring and controlling field operations in accordance with SOP’s, and established company policies and procedures.
Making frequent independent decisions to ensure safe and proper operations are adhered.
Developing and maintaining daily documentation relating to removal and materials land applied as well as compliance monitoring and documentation.
Providing daily status reports to the Facilities Manager covering all operational activities.
Checking fields and verifying they are ready for delivery.
Verifying loads delivered to the site match truck tickets and quantities.
Working with Tech Services to ensure sufficient field availability to support operational requirements.
Managing pad loadout operations and tracking of material to support efficient logistics and land application activities.
Ensuring all drivers, including third-party haulers, comply with all regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.
Monitoring truck turns and utilization of third-party haulers and internal trucking drivers to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
Completing a field tracking sheet, which includes field codes, date, wet tons, and percent complete, acres that were land applied.
Conducting spot checks of fields to verify application activities, ensure compliance, and complete field closeout.
Maintaining regular communication with the third-party spreading contractors to ensure land application activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
