Job Description Mission Technologies - a Division of HII is seeking a Operations Manager (Site Assistant) in Virginia Beach, Va in suppor tof the NITE contract. This person will assist the Contract Site Manager (CSM) in overall range operations, administration, training, safety, quality, and maintenance in accordance with contract requirements. Directs the work of all contractor range personnel directly or through supervisors and serves as an alternate point of contact for Government personnel on all range operations and maintenance.

Requirements

  • 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field or
  • 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field or
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Extensive DoD training range experience.
  • Years of managerial experience with DoD efforts.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Must have maintenance management process training and Cyber Security Awareness training.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance Programs and processes.
  • Knowledge of Safety Programs and processes.
  • Possess a valid state Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Eligible for TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or Management field
  • PMP or other Management related certification.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and implements, technical, administrative, safety, and quality controls for contractor range administration, operation, maintenance, and support in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Complies with contract requirements and takes action when necessary to correct deficiencies.
  • Prepares required reports to ensure compliance with all contract requirements.
  • Assists CSM in overseeing scheduling of work assignment and workloads in accordance with operational tasking and maintenance requirements.
  • Assists CSM in scheduling personnel to ensure adequate coverage of all tasks, staggering schedules as necessary to minimize overtime.
  • Provides recommendations to improve or expand all facets of O&M to include maintenance, operations, logistics support, and increased personnel utilization.
  • Ensures economy of operation by improvement of work methods and procedures.
  • Utilizes the IEMS to manage range activities and resources.
  • Provides direct supervision and ensures employees conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner at all times and adhere to applicable Government regulations.
  • Assists CSM in resolving personnel problems and situations within range activities.
  • Assists in the evaluation of performance of assigned personnel.
  • Assists CSM with contract matters relating to daily operations of the range.
  • Meets with the Government as requested.
  • Supports Government-sponsored meetings, briefings, and reviews as required.
  • Assists CSM in ensuring coordination and cooperation with other contractors/Government agencies.
  • Assists CSM in coordinating range scheduling with the Government representatives.
  • Uses IEMS in support of contractual requirements.
