About The Position

At Wycliffe Bible Translators, your work is more than just a job. As an operations manager for Global Partnerships Engagement, you’ll be responsible for managing high-level operational and strategic workflows. You will support the Global Partnerships leadership team. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal, cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision, adaptability and a solutions-oriented mindset. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in advancing Wycliffe’s mission by proactively addressing priorities and supporting a wide range of needs, from project management and event planning to travel coordination and special initiatives. Through your leadership support of field projects, interpreter coordination and cross-functional engagement, you will help remove barriers to Scripture access, foster inclusive partnerships that strengthen the global body of Christ, and ensure GPE (Global Partnerships Engagement) operates smoothly in advancing Bible translation worldwide. You’ll partner with Global Partnerships Engagement leadership and other team members to: - Serve the Church – Our desire is to be inspired and directed by the Church. We want to respond to what God is calling the Church to do, and we want to reflect the body of Christ working interdependently and not independently. - Invest in Sustainability - Our goal is to equip churches and organizations with the capacity and expertise to sustain and expand their translation and Scripture engagement efforts, while collaborating with agencies within the global Church. - Achieve All Access Goals 2033 – By the year 2033, we hope to have contributed to the following: 95% of all people have access to a complete Bible. 99.9% of all people have access to a New Testament. 100% of all people have access to at least a portion of the Scriptures. Overview of Global Partnerships Engagement Committed to an understanding of Bible translation as a fundamental activity in God's mission and believing that God calls us to reflect His character and attributes as we participate in His mission, Global Partnerships Engagement (GPE) seeks to be a platform for collaboration in the Bible translation movement. We desire for organizations to participate and explore new ways to collaborate and work interdependently. Through this collaborative model, Global Partnerships Engagement seeks to advance the mission by leveraging individuals' motivation and accountability within the language community and by contributing to their capacity building.

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit management, operations management global missions or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
  • Cross-cultural experience is required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 20% of the time.
  • Adjust work schedule as needed to accommodate meetings across time zones including occasional early morning, evening and weekend meetings and events.
  • Ensure access to a strong and reliable internet and phone connection to support consistent communication and remote collaboration.
  • Ability to comply with all health and travel regulations for international travel including obtaining and maintaining any required vaccinations for entry into specific countries.

Responsibilities

  • Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
  • Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
  • Collaborate on departmental initiatives to provide a best-in-class experience for Wycliffe USA's future and existing staff.
  • Assist with cross-functional team responsibilities and tactical team and departmental initiatives.
  • Represent the Global Partnerships Engagement team in meetings, projects, workshops, and partnership efforts, as assigned.
  • Ensure global team members are equipped with the operational support and resources, and the support needed to achieve strategic priorities and goals.
  • Proactively identify challenges and implement thoughtful, contextualized solutions that enhance support for partners and strengthen team effectiveness.
  • Design and execute high-impact events that align with strategic priorities and foster meaningful engagement.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Global Partnerships leadership team, managing high-priority projects, orchestrating key events and ensuring timely and accurate processing of expense reports and other critical tasks.
  • Serve as a key support and backup to the Senior Director of Global Partnerships Engagement.
  • Support a wide range of operational needs and proactively address emerging priorities or needs.
  • Oversee multiple inboxes, ensuring timely responses and escalating inquiries with discretion, confidentiality and sound judgment.
  • Execute responsibilities with precision and timeliness, consistently demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and cross-cultural awareness in all interactions.
  • Build strong relationships with strategic partners to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions for event speakers, resources, and other partnership requests.
  • Lead day-to-day operational, planning and execution of complex domestic and international events, following established event operations processes and best practices to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated experiences aligned with the strategic direction set by GPE leadership.
  • Manage vendor relationships for training and event collateral, ensuring clear communication, on-time delivery, good stewardship and quality execution of print and mail services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Global Partnerships Engagement leadership.
  • Coordinate supervisory responsibilities for 3-5 staff in accordance with the ministry’s policies and applicable laws, including spiritual leadership, interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining staff, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
