About The Position

Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, grooming and spa services has an opening for an energetic, organized, business minded individual to lead our team as Operations Manager at our new facility in Texas. This is a role for someone with a management and a sales/operations background who understands hard-work, how to deliver and train others to provide top customer service and ensure a great and safe environment for the dogs in our care. This person should love dogs – and, upon completion of training, you can even bring YOUR dog friendly dog to work with you! What a bonus!

Responsibilities

  • Maintains optimum back of house staffing and development with employees
  • Leads by example by coaching all on contributing to a positive team-oriented culture
  • Manages completion of all Spa Services – baths, nails, ear cleaning, and brushouts
  • Delivers written performance reviews and gives employees positive written acknowledgment when due
  • Must have a flexible schedule that includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Interviewing, hiring and onboarding employees and ensure each employee has the required amount of training
  • Maintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopia’s Safety and cleaning standards
  • Works closely with PPRM (Pet Parent Relationship Manager) to complete new dog Meet & Greats
  • Assists on In-store event days
  • Manages team members including quality control of work, safety, schedules, and employee records
  • Maintains controllable expenses within budgetary constraints including forecasting, tracking, and ordering supplies, minimizing payroll, and actively for ways to maximize efficiency
  • Communicates any concerns or needs proactively and partnering after attempting to resolve issues
  • Develops team in upselling and using dog evaluations to grow revenue
  • Communicates any concerns or needs to General Manager proactively and partnering after attempting to resolve issues
  • Ensures proper training is done for all back of house team members
  • Proactively handles any dog incident and communicates to pet parents, owner and HQ with proper documentation and followup
  • Monitor dogs proactively with ongoing behavior issues and maintains action plans to retain those with minor issues
  • Ensure Operations perform at Dogtopia standards for Dog safety and cleanliness
  • Responsibility for opening and closing store
  • Maintains a neat organized environment at all times
  • Sets the example for the team and holds accountable to internal and external customer service standards
  • Keeps the team members engaged in their duties
  • Strive for high customer service ratings
  • As the Operations Manager you are responsible to work with all customers and team members to ensure our customer experience sets the highest standards and satisfaction of our customers.
