Trainee Operations Management-1st Shift- Berryville Plant
About The Position
This is a developmental leadership role designed for recent graduates or individuals with 1+ year of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, agriculture, poultry, food production, or operations environments. The OMT will work closely with plant leadership to support production operations, analyze performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and help drive safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives. The schedule is primarily 1st shift, but the trainee will spend time on 2nd and 3rd shifts to learn operational processes and gain exposure to all areas of the business.
Requirements
- 1+ year of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, agriculture, poultry, food production, or operations environments
- Associate's degree or higher (Bachelor's preferred) in Operations, Agriculture, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Food Science, or a related field
- Equivalent practical experience (1 year) may be considered
- Internship, academic project, or hands-on experience in production, manufacturing, agriculture, or live operations environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Leadership potential and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Basic Excel skills required
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities
- Analyze production and operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support process improvements related to safety, quality, yield, and efficiency
- Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend solutions
- Partner with HR, Maintenance, FSQA, and Accounting on plant initiatives
- Provide leadership support through project management, line oversight, and gap coverage
- Assist with staffing, production planning, and resource allocation
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
- Develop leadership skills and influence team performance without direct authority
- Lead projects, production lines, and workflow activities
