About The Position

The Operations Maintenance Technician plans, coordinates, and executes routine preventive maintenance, diagnoses mechanical/electrical problems and determines how to correct them as unscheduled maintenance/repair. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance following established work instructions, maintaining all required fluids and lubrication, monitoring inventory of spare components and machine consumables, recording and analyzing data, and maintaining preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance records for equipment. The technician will also troubleshoot and repair failures, disassemble to remove and replace parts, and interpret machine operation manuals to identify problem sources. Additionally, this role supports the training of Level I technicians and completes work orders, records, history logs, and other documentation through the site maintenance management system. Adherence to all safety rules and practices is paramount. The position requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and occasionally perform other assigned activities. The shift for this position is Evenings (2:00pm - 10:30pm).

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a hands-on maintenance position in a production manufacturing environment or equivalent experience with mechanical/electro-mechanical equipment (e.g., maintenance specialist in military).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate requirements to supervisors.
  • Ability to independently complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of usage of hand/power tools.
  • Must demonstrate proper effective analytical troubleshooting/Root Cause Analysis skills.
  • General knowledge of maintenance and repair of production equipment.
  • Electrical and mechanical repair of production machining equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery.
  • Ability to work from schematics, technical documents, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed in support of production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative maintenance following established work instructions.
  • Maintains all required fluids and lubrication by monitoring, per manufacturers best practices.

  • Periodically perform other assigned activities which may pertain to departmental goals or responsibilities.
