About The Position

The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician (HVAC) is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, monitoring, and maintenance of critical HVAC systems in a mission-critical environment. This role involves hands-on equipment maintenance, system monitoring via Building Management Systems (BMS), troubleshooting, and coordination of preventative and corrective maintenance activities to maintain optimal system performance and environmental compliance.

Requirements

2+ years of experience operating and maintaining HVAC systems in a mission-critical environment
Experience working with BMS and HMI systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
2-year HVAC degree, Mechanical Engineering degree, Universal Refrigerant License (EPA Certification), or equivalent relevant experience
Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable

Responsibilities

Monitor HVAC systems using the Building Management System (BMS) and perform routine field rounds and readings
Ensure environmental compliance and maintain system operating parameters through continuous monitoring
Troubleshoot systems using HMI historical trends, alarms, and event data
Identify, diagnose, and correct equipment and system issues in a timely manner
Log equipment issues and maintenance activities in maintenance tracking software
Perform and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities
Maintain and service equipment including air handlers, exhaust fans, rooftop units, chillers, cooling towers, and compressed air systems
Execute sustaining plant operations including equipment/system rotations and coordination of planned outages
Support continuous system performance and operational reliability
Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
