About The Position
Under the close supervision of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, this summer assistant position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact on our organization and local communities by helping to protect and improve water quality. For all positions at the District, enhanced safety precautions are in place for essential operations. This summer assistant position requires work mainly in the field environment with some daily office work.
Requirements
- Experience using effective communication skills to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
- Experience working well with others including supervisors, fellow employees, and the public
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience being reliable at meeting adequate attendance, including punctuality and reliability
- Strong awareness of safety precautions, including care operating equipment
Responsibilities
- Landscaping and lawn maintenance
- Painting
- Treatment tank maintenance
- General maintenance including custodial duties
