About The Position

Dynamis, Inc. is hiring experienced real estate and facilities professionals to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS), one of the nation's premier federal law enforcement and facility security agencies. Our team provides direct support to FPS's dynamic and mission-critical real estate portfolio spanning approximately 820,000 square feet of office and warehouse space across roughly 180 offices and 280 occupancy agreements nationwide. You'll work alongside FPS leadership and GSA counterparts to optimize the agency's real estate footprint, execute complex space planning and relocation projects, manage occupancy agreements, and advance long-term strategic portfolio goals. This is high-visibility work at the intersection of federal real estate, infrastructure, and homeland security where your expertise shapes how FPS operates, grows, and serves the nation. The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Project Manager keeps FPS's physical infrastructure humming by coordinating maintenance, repair, and improvement projects across a diverse portfolio of office and warehouse facilities. You're the person who makes sure deferred maintenance doesn't become a mission disruptor tracking work orders, coordinating with building management and GSA, and ensuring FPS facilities consistently meet operational and safety standards.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • 4–7 years of experience in facilities operations, O&M project coordination, or building management in a federal or large commercial setting
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and HVAC systems common to office and warehouse environments
  • Experience managing work order systems and tracking maintenance projects across multiple locations simultaneously
  • Familiarity with GSA's facility management processes, including service order requests and O&M responsibility boundaries under federal leases
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable managing vendor relationships and escalating issues to government leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) credential preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate O&M project activities across FPS-occupied facilities, including preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and minor capital improvements
  • Serve as FPS's primary point of contact with GSA building managers, property management firms, and maintenance contractors on facility issues
  • Track and manage open work orders, maintenance requests, and facility service tickets from submission through resolution
  • Conduct regular facility condition assessments to identify deferred maintenance, safety hazards, and improvement priorities
  • Support development of annual O&M work plans and budgets; track expenditures against approved plans
  • Coordinate emergency response to facility incidents including water intrusion, HVAC failures, security system outages, and other disruptions
  • Maintain current documentation on building systems, maintenance histories, and warranty information for all FPS facilities
